Anna Donnelly, treasurer for the Lebanon High School Music Boosters, told the council that the non-profit supports the high school music program and runs concession stands at middle- and high-school events. "We currently have a 100 kids in our band program and roughly 65 in our marching band program," Donnelly said. She asked the city’s food-and-beverage committee for $1,500 to buy three Square card terminals, new cash boxes and storage containers to improve concession operations.
A food-and-beverage committee member who reviewed the request said the Square terminals and cash boxes were needed to process last year’s roughly $32,000 in credit card payments efficiently. The committee moved to award $1,500 from the food-and-beverage fund to the Lebanon High School Music Boosters; another council member seconded the motion. The council voted "aye" and the motion was approved.
The funding will be used specifically for three card terminals (about $300 each), replacement cash boxes and storage totes to organize concession supplies. No additional conditions or offsets were recorded in the meeting minutes.
