Facilities reported work at multiple sites, including Hillsdale solid‑waste meter pan replacements (moving from plywood to strut) and soffit vent replacements at highway buildings.
Staff also raised the Farmer’s Market parking lot, confirming county ownership and maintenance responsibility and noting the lot has many patched areas and potholes. The lot is on the facilities list for a full rebuild in 2027, but committee members said they would explore whether budget adjustments could advance the work to 2026 so repairs can be made before the market season. Staff said interim patches will continue while they evaluate scheduling and budget options.
Committee members briefly discussed the county wood boiler at the shop: staff said the existing unit burns through fuel quickly and is too small for needs, and that DEC rules limit upsizing; the county is evaluating options and noted earlier NYSERDA support for a smaller unit that proved inadequate.
No formal votes were taken on routine maintenance items; staff requested committee review and were authorized to proceed with scheduled generator work and other routine maintenance.
