City planning staff briefed the Planning and Development Review Board on July 14 about the city’s comprehensive plan update, transmitted as Ordinance 6-17. Ray Greer presented the update and said the plan reflects 2025 policy updates and a 20-year planning horizon. No board action was required; the presentation was informational. Greer told the board the update had been transmitted to the city commission and then to state agencies for review, and that the city commission was scheduled to adopt the ordinance the next day. He said staff received comments from state agencies, made changes in response, and would print and distribute the 2025 plan after adoption and the state’s 30-day review period. Board members had no substantive questions recorded in the transcript and did not take a vote. The adoption process described in the packet and by staff follows the city’s transmittal and state review procedures for comprehensive-plan updates.
