Enbridge outlines distribution action plan and says rural expansion candidates will be filed with PSC this summer

Enbridge Gas presented a distribution action plan to the Utah Public Service Commission that lists high‑pressure replacement projects, mountain pipeline transitions and a rural expansion program that the company said is moving toward filings. Steve Wall and other Enbridge presenters reviewed a multi‑year list of distribution projects through 2029 and 2030 showing project descriptions, estimated costs and revenue requirements. The slides included belt main replacements, a Mountain West pipeline transition and a rural expansion line item. On next steps for rural expansion, company counsel Kelly Manning Hall and operations staff said Enbridge is working with communities to confirm interest, prepare cost estimates and finalize locations. Kelly said a filing is likely in an August–September timeframe; Enbridge staff said two communities are being actively pursued at this stage but final project proposals will be presented to the PSC after cost and community interest are confirmed. Presenters clarified that the distribution action plan projects listed in the IRP were separate from the company’s infrastructure‑tracker projects. Company engineers said they would respond to follow‑up engineering questions in a separate channel and that the slide deck and IRP materials contain more detailed project sheets. There was no formal PSC action taken at the technical conference; the session served as a presentation and Q&A for staff and commissioners reviewing the IRP materials.
