Cary resident warns of e-bike danger on sidewalks; village says intermunicipal evaluation underway

"Is there anything at all? ... somebody's gonna get really hurt bad," Reiche said, asking whether police or village staff could act to reduce the risk.
Village officials responded that the issue is under review. The mayor (unnamed in the transcript) told Reiche: "As I mentioned to you last week during our in-depth phone call, we are in the process of evaluating that with the other municipalities surrounding us. It's in process. It just doesn't happen overnight." The village did not announce any new ordinance, enforcement protocol or timeline at the meeting.
