The Planning and Zoning Committee voted June 24 to approve a budget amendment to carry over 2024 soil and water resource management cost-share funds into the current fiscal year.

Staff described the item as an accounting measure that would allow previously obligated cost-share funds from 2024 to be used in the current year. "So it looks like they're requesting to carry over last year's 2024 share funds into this year. So this is the accounting process, which will allow us to do that. And once you guys approve it, then it gets approved again at County Board," a staff member said.
