Seat Pleasant council approves adding alternative insurer while preserving Kaiser option for staff

Seat Pleasant City Council on July 7 voted unanimously to move forward with a Human Services, Health and Education Committee recommendation to offer an additional health-insurance option alongside the existing Kaiser plan, and to allow employees who prefer Kaiser to remain on that plan.

Council member Raynor, speaking for the committee, said the group recommended offering both plans to avoid interruptions in benefits while staff and the committee complete a cost analysis. Raynor moved the motion and Council member Love seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
