Roselle honors Electroflex on 70th anniversary

The Village of Roselle presented a proclamation on July 14 recognizing Electroflex for its 70th anniversary. The mayor read a proclamation noting that Electroflex was founded in 1955, grew from a 5,000-square-foot operation to more than a quarter-million square feet across three Roselle locations, produces nearly 50 types of flexible electrical conduit and has a long record of community philanthropy. The board invited Electroflex family members and employees to receive the recognition. Representatives from Electroflex thanked the village during brief remarks. An Electroflex representative, identified in the meeting only by the first name Tom, said, "I can't thank you enough" and described the company's local origins: "we started an old chicken coop on Roselle Circle" and noted the company's expansion and family-staff effort. A second speaker identified as David commented that the company is widely recognized in the industry and welcomed the local partnership. The proclamation text read at the meeting referenced Electroflex's community involvement with programs such as Shop with a Cop, holiday food drives, the American Cancer Society walk and roll, disaster relief and educational events; it also cited involvement with industry groups, including the National Electrical Manufacturers Association and the Empowering Women Mentorship Program. The board presented the proclamation and invited company representatives forward for the presentation. No formal action or vote was required to deliver the proclamation; the presentation was a ceremonial recognition on the meeting agenda.
