Public safety facility floor work underway; village splash pad reopened

Trustees received an update July 14 on the Village of Beecher's public safety facility and on the municipal splash pad. Public buildings committee members said the interior floor will be coated with epoxy on Friday and that replacement slats for exterior fencing, plus gates, are on order. Trustee Krause said the slats originally delivered were transparent when they were supposed to be opaque; new slats were ordered and the village is awaiting delivery. He said the gates will be assembled and installed once parts arrive and that required electric work is complete. "It's all done. It's all ready to go," Krause said about the electrical installation. The meeting also included a brief announcement that the municipal splash pad is back open to the public. Board members did not set a precise final completion date for the public safety facility during the July 14 meeting, and a staff contact named Matt was referenced for gating timing but did not provide an on-the-record completion date at the meeting.
