Town manager reports houseboat prohibition signed into law; special town meeting date moved to Sept. 16

Because a special town meeting recently occurred on July 2, the board voted to move the August 19 special town meeting back into September; the board adopted Sept. 16 as the new date to provide adequate notice and to accommodate secret-ballot processes when required. The town manager noted additional calendar adjustments related to events and staff schedules.
