Perris approves final assessment roll for Forestbrook PID; average per-unit assessment $2,469.63

The Perris City Council on July 14 adopted an ordinance, by a 7-0 vote, approving the final services and assessment plan (SAP) and authorizing assessments for certain properties within Improvement Area No. 1 of the Forestbrook Public Improvement District (PID).
City staff said the item followed a preliminary SAP approved three weeks earlier and that the city had published the required notice and held a public hearing. Staff stated the “average amount of the assessment per unit will be $2,469.63.”
Council opened and closed the public hearing at the meeting; no public testimony was recorded. Councilmember Putnam moved to adopt the ordinance, Councilmember Moore seconded, and the motion passed 7-0.
The ordinance authorizes assessments to be levied against properties within the PID boundary pursuant to Chapter 372 of the Texas Local Government Code, as described in the staff presentation. Staff recommended adoption to authorize the assessments; council approved the measure without further amendment.
