Public commenter John Freelich of 960 Bridge Street told the board he preferred recordings to be available on YouTube so residents who cannot attend can watch later: “I prefer it to be on YouTube, then I don't have to be here tonight. I can watch it, you know, when I have time to watch it,” Freelich said. The board acknowledged concerns about archival recordings being edited or misused in the age of manipulated media but said they would proceed with a time‑limited archival plan.
Attorney and members agreed to amend the motion so that recordings would be archived on YouTube through the end of the calendar year and the board would reconsider the policy at its January meeting after the council reviews funding and practice.
