PACE review committee votes to forward eligible rehabilitation projects to Board of Public Works

The PACE Review Committee voted July 15 to recommend projects that met the committee's minimum scoring thresholds to the Board of Public Works for final funding decisions. The committee chair called for a motion after staff read the project scores and members voted in favor.

Committee members said four projects met the committee's minimum thresholds and were eligible for recommendation. The committee recorded scores during the meeting: 221 East Main scored 39.33 (minimum 36), 111 East Fourth scored 29.33 (minimum 25), and 920 Cross Avenue scored 25.67 (minimum 22). Two other applications''1725 Allen Street (30.33 of minimum 36) and 412 Broadway (34.33 of minimum 36)'fell short of their stated minimums during the committee's tally. The committee proceeded to move the eligible projects forward to the Board of Public Works.

The committee's role at this meeting was to score and recommend projects; the Board of Public Works makes the final funding decisions. Committee members reminded applicants that they do not need to attend the Board of Public Works meeting to receive notification if awarded; staff will notify applicants after the Board meets.

The motion to forward the eligible projects passed with an affirmative voice vote after a member moved to recommend "those projects" and another seconded the motion. The committee adjourned following a brief check for other business.

The committee did not present detailed motion language naming each recommended parcel in the public record beyond the earlier score readouts, and staff will provide formal recommendations and supporting materials to the Board of Public Works.
