The Colonial Heights School Board on May 27 approved a partner agreement to continue Child Savers services in the division for the upcoming school year at Lakeview Elementary, the middle school and Colonial Heights High School.
Administrators told the board the agreement is essentially the same as last year with updated dates and that Child Savers has provided “great” services to students. The presenters said the program has been supported this year in part by a Nurture Now grant and that Child Savers and the division are discussing pursuing additional funding from the Cameron Foundation.
Board members approved the partner agreement in a recorded vote. The administration said the plan is to continue the service next year and to seek supplemental grant funding to support the program's continuation and potential expansion.
