The Common Council approved a certified survey map (CSM) on Tuesday that divides the Ski Hill parcel (the former ski-chalet property) near Pabst Farms into two lots and two outlots and dedicates part of Snyder Way. The map clears title and creates saleable lots, allowing the owner to market a parcel that includes the old chalet building while preserving a larger remaining area and outlots for future division.
Jason Gallo, city planner, said the map conforms to subdivision rules for a CSM (which allows a mix of lots and outlots) and that the plan commission reviewed and recommended approval. Gallo said the remaining portion of the property will return to the plan commission for further division later; he said a single CSM can include up to four lots or a mix of lots and outlots.
The council voted to approve the CSM by roll call; Alderman Ellis recorded one nay vote and other members voted in favor. Staff said plan commission review and subsequent redivision of the remaining lot are expected to follow in August.
Next steps: the applicant may market the divided parcel, and staff said future resubdivision of Lot 2 will proceed through the standard plan commission process.
