MURRAY, Utah — TransJordan landfill staff updated the council on July 15, saying a new transfer station is on track to begin accepting inbound loads on Sept. 1 and that operating expenses will increase about 16.5 percent because of nine new employees needed to run the facility.
"The operating expenses are gonna increase, like, 16 and a half percent. That's based on 9 new employees for the new transfer station that's gonna open in September 1," said Russ, a TransJordan representative, during the briefing.
