The paving contract is part of the town's roadway construction priority list for 2024'26, and the project includes a five-foot sidewalk through Old Ward Bridge Road and Moon Lake Road paving prior to and after a culvert replacement.
Town staff said Plymouth Regional Schools will pay separately for the school-front portion of the road work, estimated at about $23,000; the school will pay the contractor directly at the time the town makes its payment. The town solicited four bids for the work, and GMI Asphalt was the low bidder.
The Select Board moved and seconded the purchase order and approved the contract at Monday's meeting. No amendments were added; staff said funds are budgeted in the 2025'26 budget for the work.
Town Manager Scott noted the work is part of scheduled pavement priorities and that the portion near the school is among the busier stretches of roadway.
