Avon Plan Commission reviews draft 2025 comprehensive plan; public comment open through Aug. 1

Rachel Christiansen of HWC Engineering presented the draft 2025 comprehensive plan at a special meeting of the Avon Plan Commission and opened the plan for public review and comment through Aug. 1.
The draft update, developed with a steering committee and public engagement efforts, provides a revised future land use map, new land-use classifications and implementation steps intended to guide rezonings, infrastructure decisions and future development in Avon.
Christiansen, who led the presentation, described the document as “a long range guide for development and community investment” and summarized the planning process, public outreach and the plan’s structure. She said the plan’s vision reads in part: “The town of Avon is a vibrant, family friendly town that has a shared commitment to celebrate our quality schools, foster great neighborhoods, and cultivate a healthy economy.”
