Muskogee’s public works committee heard July 14 about the city’s new SeeClickFix mobile app and website, which the city launched June 30 to let residents report nonemergency issues and track responses. Julie Villalobos, communications manager, demonstrated features and said the system automatically geo‑tags photos and provides a dashboard for staff.
Villalobos said SeeClickFix lets citizens submit requests 24/7 from any device, attach photos, and track status; she cited outcomes other cities reported after implementing the platform: Tulsa reduced average repair time by about 40% and Broken Arrow saw a 47% increase in resolved service requests in the first year.
City staff said they will continue onboarding and training for departments, run a public awareness campaign and encourage residents to download SeeClickFix and select Muskogee from the app directory. No committee action was required.
Why it matters: the platform centralizes citizen reports, enables location‑based requests and gives staff data for trend analysis and planning, which officials called a tool to improve responsiveness and community engagement.
Background: SeeClickFix is a commercially available platform used by many municipalities; Muskogee implemented it under a communications/staffing plan that the city will continue to support through training and outreach.
