Sandusky commission approves development agreement with 6 Flags for Cedar Point Causeway; one commissioner objects

The Sandusky City Commission on July 14 approved an ordinance authorizing the city manager to enter into a development agreement with 6 Flags Entertainment Corporation to renovate the Cedar Point Causeway, a vote that passed 6–1 after public comment raised questions about the agreement’s terms.

The measure directs city staff to finalize the development agreement with 6 Flags, and the commission approved it after a roll call in which Commissioner Murray moved for approval and an unnamed commissioner seconded; the roll call recorded six yes votes and one no (Mister Koontz). Mayor and Commission President Richard Brady presided over the meeting.
