Staff reports on storm damage: insurance reimbursements received, FEMA claims still pending

City staff reported July 15, 2025, that they have received insurance reimbursements for facility damage from recent storms but continue to work through outstanding claims and separate FEMA reimbursement processes. Frances Robstelli, staff member, summarized the financial status for facility repairs: "We have received some insurance money... we have received a full reimbursement on all the roof damage for all of the facilities... and then we had about $2,200,000 in damage just in all of the facilities combined... we're still about a half a million apart between us and the insurance company." Staff told the committee they have begun necessary repairs and roof work but are managing spending to preserve city cash flow ahead of the next storm season; they said some repairs will occur after additional recoveries are finalized.
