State Passage briefs county on expanded prevention and calls for continued partner funding

Ketman said State Passage provides a 24/7 emergency shelter located in a neighboring county and maintains satellite outreach offices that serve Jefferson County clients when safer locations are needed. She emphasized that all State Passage services are free and confidential: "All of our services are free. All of our services are confidential." The presenter asked the county to help with predictable operating support to offset volatility in VOCA and other grant funding; county staff thanked her and said the request would be considered during budget deliberations. No formal action or vote was taken at the meeting.
