Springfield approves small electric and gas rate adjustments tied to wholesale cost changes

For the gas department, a city representative, Benji Davis, reported that the purchase increase was 1.4¢ and that the resulting across-the-board increase in monthly gas rates would be about 2.1%. After questions, the board voted to approve the gas-rate adjustment 7–0.
