The Warwick County School Board approved two agreements to allow university students to complete clinical experiences in district schools.
Doctor Redmond presented a memorandum of understanding with Indiana Wesleyan University that outlines arrangements, expectations and responsibilities for providing clinical experiences to IWU educator candidates. The board approved the MOU by voice vote.
Doctor Redmond also presented a memorandum of agreement with Brescia University describing the district’s role in serving as an educational facility for Brescia speech‑language pathology students. The board approved that MOA by voice vote as well.
Board members expressed support for the partnerships. One board member said she was ‘‘excited about this opportunity’’ and noted a personal family connection to Brescia University’s speech‑language program.
Both agreements were approved as presented; the motions carried with no recorded opposition.
