Neighbors said the district did not adequately notify nearby residents and that elements of the proposed site plans — including access drives, a 28-foot building elevation at Hoover and tree loss — would significantly affect yards, privacy and property values. "We find out that there is going to be a school built literally 50, 60 feet off our property line," said Joe Brokaw, a Hoover-area resident.
