City to fund Berry Park stormwater project; staff flags need to update stormwater master plan

"We did go and put on Berry Park stormwater improvements in for $150,000," Brandy said, and staff adjusted the capital project totals accordingly.
Brandy emphasized the city needs to update its stormwater master plan to identify and prioritize future projects. Commissioners asked whether the Berry Park work would include a nearby reservoir off Talladega; Brandy and another staffer indicated that area is connected and would be part of the broader stormwater work.
Staff presented a relatively small capital list for FY26 for stormwater because the updated master plan is expected to drive the next round of projects. No formal action was taken at the workshop; the Berry Park project was presented as budgeted work to be carried forward in the FY26 plan.
