The Pine County Board approved buying two easements across privately owned parcels to secure access to portions of tax‑forfeited land the county intends to sell.
The board authorized purchase of easements across PID 32.088.000 (owned by Mark and Christine Bartel) and PID 32.0097.000 (owned by Ryan Stefan) for $2,500 to ensure access to a portion of a larger tax‑forfeited tract that staff said totals about 200 acres and has been subdivided into three sale parcels.
County staff said the easements are priced reasonably and will improve the value and utility of the parcels to be sold. A motion to authorize the easement purchases was moved and seconded and carried by unanimous voice vote.
Staff did not request additional board action at the meeting; recording and closing details will proceed through the county’s property and land‑services processes.
