Andrea (last name not specified) presented the Human Resources report summarizing recruitment, retention and the district’s digital transition. Highlights included implementation of Frontline Central (digitizing more than 1,000 personnel files and moving certified contracts and support-staff letters to electronic signatures), an onboarding and veteran-ambassador program for new teachers, and plans to reduce staff hours by an estimated 250 annually through paperless processes.
HR reported staffing metrics for the year (as presented in the meeting): 51 certified staff hires, 28 long-term substitutes, two administrative vacancies, 18 athletic vacancies and approximately 101 support-staff vacancies during the 2024–25 school year. The district hosted a pop-up social for new and veteran teachers and held multiple staff-recognition events.
Andrea also reported student-transportation and safety metrics: the district serves roughly 2,500 public-school students and 195 private-school students on district buses and the district completed about 2,500 background checks this year (an increase partially attributed to construction workers needing on-site access). Finally, Andrea noted the district partnered with local universities and hosted 162 student teachers during the year, the largest number to date, which HR views as a recruitment pipeline.
