Council introduces five rezoning ordinances; public hearings set for Aug. 19

At the July 15 meeting the Enterprise City Council formally introduced five ordinances that would rezone several parcels after Planning Commission recommendation; each ordinance was set for public hearing at the council's Aug. 19 meeting.
The rezoning requests introduced were: - JLW Creative Solutions LLC: rezone 2.35 acres from R-2 (medium-density single-family) to RT (townhouse residential) located on Becky Lane at Wyndham Drive (ordinance 071525, public hearing 08/19/2025). - JLW Creative Solutions LLC: rezone 4.28 acres from R-2 to R-3 (high-density single-family) located on Wyndham Drive (ordinance 071525a, public hearing 08/19/2025). - Galenco Incorporated: rezone 1.21 acres from AG (agricultural) to R-1 (low-density single-family) at 103 Fountain Crest Drive (ordinance 071525b, public hearing 08/19/2025). - Industrial Development Board of the City of Enterprise: rezone 10.23 acres from R-2 to M-2 (general industrial) on Veil Metcalf Road and Veterans Parkway (ordinance 071525c, public hearing 08/19/2025). - Industrial Development Board of the City of Enterprise: rezone 3 acres from R-2 to M-2 on Hickman Road near Progress Avenue (ordinance 071525d, public hearing 08/19/2025).
The council's introduction does not constitute approval; each ordinance was introduced and will return after public hearing for further consideration and vote. The council made no substantive action beyond scheduling the hearings and entering the Planning Commission's recommendations into the record. Residents who wish to comment were told to use the public hearing on Aug. 19.
Staff and the planning commission will provide maps and staff reports in the public hearing packets prior to the Aug. 19 meetings as required by city code.
