East Bethel Booster Days returns with parade, medallion hunt and fireworks

Organizers of East Bethel’s annual Booster Days presented event details to the council and public ahead of the weekend festivities, saying the day will include a parade, community entertainment, family activities and fireworks.
“The parade will be at 4PM,” the event coordinator said, describing the route along Palisade and noting popular viewing at Booster Park East and City Hall. The day will open with a pancake breakfast in the senior center at 8 a.m. that runs until 11 a.m., followed by the car show from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a full slate of activities beginning at 11 a.m.
Organizers said a one-day medallion hunt will begin at 11 a.m., with the first clue posted at the City of East Bethel booth and additional clues posted hourly until the medallion is found; this year’s prize is a four-pack of Minnesota Renaissance Festival tickets. The artisan market, petting zoo, free inflatables and low-cost games (bingo with $1 sheets; small pots for prizes and a $50 game 10 prize) were all described in the presentation. Entertainment includes a Japanese drum group at 11 a.m., a mariachi band at 1 p.m., steel-drums and local dance performances, and an evening dance with the Express Band.
Volunteer organizers named key volunteers and roles: Bruce (treasurer), Nancy (vendor check-in), Ricky Snyder (artisan market coordinator) and Scott Snyder (entertainment and logistics). City liaison Carrie Frost was credited with managing permits and licenses and creating medallion-hunt clues.
Organizers said last-minute parade entries are welcome and free; participants can register on eastbethelboosterdays.com or by emailing coordinator@eastbethelboosterdays.com. Food vendors including Route 65 will be on site. The event will end with fireworks presented by the city of East Bethel.
Organizers urged community participation both as attendees and as volunteers. “If you are free on Saturday and would like to help out throughout the day, we do have some spots for volunteers,” the coordinator said, directing interested people to the volunteer page on the event website.
