Board members and one parent speaker praised the move as a long-awaited investment in learning environments. One board member said the improvements will show families the district is investing in the places students spend most of their day.
The Ameresco agreement begins design and planning work; Wright staff said the district will provide more scheduling details as projects are scoped and procurement steps are completed.
