Bonner County Fair Board asks commissioners for $60,000 to address safety and building repairs

The Bonner County Fair Board asked county commissioners to forward $60,000 to its C budget for fiscal year 2026 to pay for safety repairs and capital projects at the Bonner County Fairgrounds, Fair Board members said at a meeting with county officials.

The request is intended to cover a mix of building and land improvements the board has identified as priorities: the fair board asked to roll about $70,000 from its B budget into the C budget for capital improvements and separately requested $60,000 from the county. Fair Board members said earmarks for the rollover include $35,000 toward a partial rebuild of the swine wash rack, $12,000 for entrance/door repairs at the Main Exhibit Building and about $15,000 toward perimeter and parking-lot drainage and foundation work.
