City approves resolution to apply for Texas Parks & Wildlife grant for Fort Ringgold Park

City staff said the resolution allows work to continue on conceptual designs developed by Hefner Designs and authorizes staff to gather letters of support to strengthen the application. Staff told commissioners the design and grant materials will be presented again during the city’s upcoming budget workshop and that they hope to secure funding in the current application round. The commission unanimously approved the resolution; staff will continue final planning and outreach as the application proceeds.
