Board tables policy 4.303 on athletic activity letters

The Lakeland School System Board of Education voted to table consideration of Policy 4.303, "Athletic Activity Letters," after a brief introduction on the agenda.

A board member moved to table the policy; the chair accepted the request and said the item would be brought back at a future meeting after consultation with the superintendent. "I'll get with you on if we need or when we need to bring this back up on the agenda," the chair said. No substantive policy changes were discussed during the meeting and no vote on the policy's content was taken.

The item will be reconsidered at a later date when staff and board members determine appropriate timing.
