Weber County commissioners on Tuesday approved Resolution 31-2025 appointing James T. Morgan and Heidi H. Gross to the Ogden Valley Planning Commission.
Rick Groberg, a county staff member presenting the item, said two incumbent terms had expired and the incumbents—Trevor Schuman and Mark Schweppe—had requested reappointment. Groberg also identified three other applicants: James T. Morgan, Heidi H. Gross and Shane Dunley. A motion to approve the resolution naming Morgan and Gross was made, seconded and carried in a roll call vote. “They put in service, a lot of hours, no pay, take time out of their other life to do that,” a commissioner said of planning commissioners during the discussion.
Why it matters: The appointments fill two vacancies on a local planning body that reviews land-use and development matters for Ogden Valley, ensuring the commission can carry out hearings and advisory duties.
Action details: Commissioners recorded affirmative votes in the roll call. Commissioner Gage Forer voted aye; Chair Sharon Bolos voted aye; the motion carried. The resolution number was listed in the meeting materials as 31-2025.
