Ordinance committee notes passing of long-serving minute taker Cheryl Telesco

He said he received an email on July 10 indicating she had died the previous week and described her as someone who “made my job a lot easier.”
“She was a pleasure to work with,” Brian said. “She had some health issues over the last year, but you wouldn't know it, based on if I asked for something, she did it, or she got somebody else to help out. So, I'm gonna miss her. I think the city will miss her.”
Nicole Eady, a common council member who was attending the committee meeting as a noncommittee member, offered condolences: “I just wanted to offer my condolences.” Other committee members expressed sympathy and discussed asking the mayor and the full common council to observe a moment of silence at an upcoming meeting so more colleagues and residents would be aware and could remember her contributions.
The committee did not take formal action related to the passing beyond the expressions of condolence and the suggestion to raise the matter at the next common council meeting. The meeting record does not include a date of death; staff indicated the death occurred in the first week of July based on an email received July 10.
