Bill (Highway) told the committee "so far, we've had 3 applications, and 1 of them looks very promising. And then another 1 could work out, and 1 wasn't too qualified." Pat Kinney moved to approve the position; Bill Metzinger seconded the motion. The chair called the question and the committee carried the motion by voice vote.
