The governing body approved a minor public works contract with Forestall Company, not to exceed $100,000, to remove non-native brush and undergrowth behind the library up to the top of Queen City and west of the Queen City Pool House to improve sight lines and safety.
Staff said the work is funded through facility and security improvements and aims to enhance visibility and security in the park area. “We will start as soon as we can get this contract executed. So, I would expect them to be able to start early August,” a presenter said.
Council members discussed past rodent concerns in other neighborhoods and asked staff to monitor for any pest or wildlife disturbance following the clearing. The council approved the contract during the meeting.
