Manny Salgado and Julia Green reported strong turnout at the Fill in the Blanks market and suggested child‑friendly handouts and activities. Julia said the event drew about 300 people and recommended additional materials for future tables.
The commission plans to order a branded tent and is restocking helmets, lights and other giveaway items for events. Emily Burneman said the city maintains an updated bike‑infrastructure map on the mayor's dashboard and that poster‑sized maps could be produced for events. Burneman recommended bilingual (English/Spanish) materials and adding QR‑code business cards linking to walknorwalk.org and bikenorwalk.org.
Upcoming events noted: Fill in the Blanks on August 9, Sono Market (monthly; commission participated in June and will staff July 26), and Norwalk Night Out on July 31. Commissioners agreed to coordinate volunteers and to update printed materials to be weather‑resistant and transportable.
