Staff told the court both Harbor Oaks suites would be month‑to‑month beginning Aug. 1, 2025, with no increase in current rent; draft contracts contained some description errors that staff said they would correct before signing. For Harbor Oaks, staff reported one suite is roughly 6,000 square feet and the other about 900 square feet (staff later clarified sizes and said they would correct contract descriptions prior to execution). The court agreed to leave the month‑to‑month language in place and to revisit an extension if the landlord confirmed a longer term.
The court also approved a lease for about 2,020 square feet at Live Oak Plaza for relocation of the Precinct 2 justice of the peace. Judges and staff said the space had been inspected by Judge Dupnik and staff and that it will accommodate existing furniture and office needs; they did not expect an on‑site courtroom in the new space.
