Nantucket — At its July 12 meeting the Advisory Committee of Nonvoting Taxpayers discussed the status of town-government review efforts, home-rule petitions and possible changes to annual town meeting procedures. Donna (committee member) and Libby Gibson reported that a town council study committee delivered a set of charter amendments to voters in previous years; one home-rule petition to implement those charter changes remains pending in the Massachusetts Legislature.
