Grandview Heights council accepts material terms of Purdue Pharma settlement

The Grandview Heights City Council voted unanimously July 14 to accept the material terms of the Purdue Pharma LP and Sackler family settlement concerning alleged misconduct related to opioids.

Council President Heeler said the resolution would accept the settlement terms. The action follows national and state litigation and settlement activity over opioid manufacturers and distributors.

The resolution (25-2025) was moved and seconded, and the clerk conducted a roll-call vote. Council members recorded votes of yes from Kozak, Smith, Weiss, Walker, Houston and President Heeler; the measure passed without dissent.
