The Wichita City manager outlined the July 8 city-council agenda, saying it includes a no-cost extension of a contract to assist with start-up and commissioning of the new water plant, a settlement of a claim related to a police vehicle accident and a grant application to buy two hybrid buses and five electric vans.
The manager also flagged a proposed expanded scope of services for construction of perimeter fencing at Jabara and noted agenda items tied to infrastructure and zoning: a proposed IRB for a manufacturing warehouse and distribution facility on Eisenhower Avenue, an intersection improvement project at Mount Vernon and Hydraulic, and proposed changes to the city’s common consumption area rules to allow a Delano-area common consumption area.
On the consent agenda the manager said item 3(a) would extend the existing contract for help with start-up and commissioning of the new water plant and that the extension would involve no additional cost. Item 3(b) is an information-technology infrastructure contract. The manager identified a consent item to settle a claim related to a police vehicle accident and another consent item to file a grant application to purchase two hybrid buses and five electric vans.
The manager characterized the perimeter-fencing item as an expanded scope of services for construction at Jabara. He also summarized several routine consent items and said that, aside from the listed items, he had nothing further for the July 8 meeting.
These were presented as agenda items to be considered by the council; no votes or formal actions were recorded in the manager’s remarks.
