The Wichita City Council approved petitions and adopted resolutions to authorize public improvements for Courtyards at Jacobs Farm, Second Edition, after city staff said the petitions contained signatures representing 100% of the improvement district as required under Kansas statute.
Paul Gunzmann presented the item and said the project includes multiple phases of water, sewer, drainage and paving improvements necessary for the new residential development in District 5. He recommended council approve the petitions, adopt the resolutions and authorize signatures; council moved, seconded and the motion passed 6-0.
City staff noted the petitions were validated under state law; the council approved the project budget and authorized staff to proceed with the usual improvement-district process.
