Coos County commissioners approved an order to vacate a portion of Barview Road in the described legal subdivision after county staff and the road department reviewed the request and recommended approval.

Community Development planner Amy told the board that the portion proposed for vacation includes a developed driveway at the south end and otherwise slopes into a stream drainage. The road department reported utilities have existing access from both the north and south sides and that developing the right‑of‑way would be cost‑prohibitive. The petitioner provided signatures representing 100% ownership of potentially affected parcels, Amy said.

"Therefore, he agrees that the vacation is in the public's best interest and supports the proposal," the planner reported, and the board adopted Order 2503014PL vacating the specified portion. The motion passed by voice vote.
