Coos County commissioners approved contract amendments that extend three existing oyster lease agreements to June 30, 2029.

The leases involve Coos Bay Oyster, Pacific Shellfish and Clawson Oysters; the board noted the county has traditionally extended leases in four‑year increments. A county representative said the annual charge is $21.62 per acre per year and that fees are updated yearly by CPI adjustments.

The board moved to approve and sign the lease amendments and recorded the motion as approved by voice vote. Commissioners made brief, informal remarks praising the local oysters during the discussion; no objections were recorded.
