The item had been reviewed by the planning board on June 9, 2025, and the planning board recommended denial by a vote of 4‑1. During the July 8 commission hearing, no members of the public stepped forward to speak on the item and the commission completed first readings on both ordinances; final action will occur after the second public hearing.
