Township staff reported a complaint about multiple abandoned mobile homes at Lehi Estates Mobile Home Park and said they will pursue inspection and legal options with the county prosecutor. Dale, a township staff member who presented photos and background, told trustees he received a neighbor complaint about strong odors and visible disrepair at the site. He said he contacted the Ohio Commerce Industrial Compliance Department and the Butler County Board of Health but was told the state agency has limited authority over individual units and the county health official expressed hesitancy about intervention. Dale said he had contacted Steve Wagner in the Butler County prosecutor's office and planned a site inspection with him and a township official the next day. "It is a major health hazard," Dale said, describing multiple abandoned trailers and inoperable vehicles on the property. He estimated there are at least nine trailers on the parcel, some with fire damage from an earlier blaze and debris remaining. Dale told trustees the property owner has been reluctant to cooperate. He said the prosecutor's office will assist if court action is required. Dale asked trustees to allow staff and the prosecutor to proceed with inspection and legal follow-up to remove hazards and address code compliance. Trustees did not take immediate enforcement action during the meeting but directed staff to continue coordination with the county prosecutor and other agencies. No timeline for removal or specific court filings was provided at the meeting.
