Board briefed on interdistrict 66 0301 agreements for Project Search/Bridge and shared physical-therapy services

Jill Mason, executive director of student services, briefed the School District of Holman Board of Education on incoming interdistrict agreements identified as “66 0 3 0 1 agreements” and on a physical-therapy service agreement.
Mason said Project Bridge will accept one student from Melrose-Mindoro for the coming year. She described Project Search placements from several districts (Melrose, Menduro, Onalaska, La Crosse and Bangor) totaling 10 interns — the highest number in several years — and noted the recent meet-and-greet with interns and families. “These agreements allow students from other districts to come into these programs and vice versa,” Mason said, explaining that the agreements permit sharing program slots and allow other districts to utilize Holman-hosted placements in the future.
On physical therapy, Mason said the district has partnered with Onalaska School District to split physical-therapy services on an approximately 80/20 basis for several years; the arrangement continues to meet both districts’ needs. In this arrangement Holman serves as host district for invoicing and Onalaska reimburses its share.
Mason said the Project Search/Bridge and physical-therapy items will appear on the July 28 consent agenda for approval; there was no further discussion and no vote on those specific items during the meeting.
