The Wichita Falls Independent School District Board of Trustees received the district’s year‑to‑date financial and investment reports and unanimously adopted the district’s annual investment policy and list of qualified brokers.
Leon (district financial officer) presented revenue and expenditure figures through April 30, 2025, and described required annual reporting under the Public Funds Investment Act. He reported that, for the general fund, revenues were 81.76% of budget last year compared with 72.66% this year, and expenditures were 77.05% last year compared with 79.85% this year.
The presentation included the annual investment report, the district’s investment policy and the roster of authorized brokers. The board previously reviewed the policy on March 17, 2025, but statute requires an annual review and formal adoption. The district identified the reporting and policy materials as compliance with the Public Funds Investment Act.
A trustee moved to adopt the attached investment policy; a second was given and the board approved the motion 5‑0.
The action was procedural and required by state law; trustees had no substantive questions about the materials and approved the policy and broker list to remain in compliance with the Public Funds Investment Act.
The district will continue to bring year‑end budget amendments and the full fiscal-year closing materials to the board at the next meeting cycle.
